What is it?
This is a 3-day competition happening within the prestigeous Singapore Institute of Management (SIM). It is a Qualifying round for youths to be a part of the Finals of the World Mathematics Championships® 2019Participants engage in our 9 different types of rounds within 6 skills categories.

Who may enter?
Any youth still engaging in compulsary education. This is aimed towards those in Grade 9 and below (so for many they will be in the first year of an IGCSE Mathematics course during the month of this Qualifier).

When is it?
Friday 1st March from 3pm. The closing ceremony is on Sunday 3rd March, ends by 10pm.

What about accommodation?
This is a non-residential competition, and so participants may independently travel to and from the Qualifier each day.
That said, we are delighted to have agreed a partnership with Nanyang Boarding House (NBH) for some of you who would like to enjoy sharing more time with like-minded peers. Check-in can be Thursday 28th February or Friday 1st March and check-out can be Sunday 3rd or Monday 4th. The cost of SGD100 per single bed per night includes breakfast, wifi, mini kitchen, laundry room and our shuttle transfers between NBH and SIM for all 3 of the competition days. All participants need to bring their own top bed sheet and towel. Our allocated beds are in 2- and 3-bed same gender dorms, and we need to use every bed. To reserve, CONTACT US with confirmed dates and approx. time of arrival. We will then issue an invoice and the payment from which needs to be received BEFORE 30th November. After this date we cannot accept any more accomodation nor shuttle bus reservations.

What do participants get?
Lots of intangible rewards! And also...
An attainment transcript containing the percentile ranks in each round, each skill attribute and a descriptor of their demonstrated strengths.
Medals are awarded to the better performing participants in each of the 6 skills categories.
Those who excel best in all 6 categories are also issued with a Golden Ticket invite to the Finals.

How much does it cost?
SGD 400 per student participant and SGD 200 per adult adjudicator.
This fee includes 2 lunches and 3 evening meals, as well as welcome packs, event materials and prizes.

How to register?

An adult adjudicator clicks on the link above and registers teams of 3 students.
There must be at least 1 adult adjudicator for every 3 teams registered.

Registration into this competition is confirmed only when the full fees have been received AND all participant particulars are complete in the form.
